The Simple A-Z Philosophy
Keti's A-Z technique is based on geometric principles
of Egyptian dance and focuses on purity of movement.
It gives dancers a powerful rhythmic awareness and
large vocabulary of easy core routines. A-Z offers all
bellydancers SHORTCUTS to improve their dance
dramatically so they can improvise with confidence
and choreograph with skill.
What is A-Z Bellydance?
A-Z is a unique teaching and choreographic style for Bellydance based on Egyptian dance footwork, hip technique and fluidity, A-Z consists of 26 x 16-part routines to make choreography and transitions simple. All routines join perfectly with one another to create flawless, flowing dance with technical symmetry, relaxed Oriental style and a wide range of moves. It improves co-ordination, rhythmic comprehension and spatial awareness required for richly layered bellydance. Its simple to learn and even teach. Best of all, expect extremely quick, professional-looking results!
Who will find A-Z useful?
Bellydance teachers, performers, troupes or students because it is logical, easy to apply and makes teaching (and learning) simple and effective! The growing international network of A-Z practitioners can travel with their skills and find 'common choreographic language' with teachers interstate or abroad.

TWO COURSES IN ONE!
A to Z and Teacher Training students take the course either to become better dancers or because they wish to teach, or both. If you would like to teach Beginner's Belly Dance, you do need prior dance experience and it is preferable for you to have taken my regular Belly Dance classes for at least a year. Most of the A to Z candidates are women who have studied with me for a year to two years, although a few brilliant dancers such as Claudine, Pauline, and May have jumped in and made it their own. (Note: both Claudine and May are accomplished in Jazz and Modern dance.)
Since this is a semi-private course, each student receives personal attention and support from me. If your goal is to dance, you get strategies on how to use the system to construct your choreographies. If your goal is to teach beginners, you get a wealth of teaching strategies that are sensitive to the local audience and derive not only from my experience as a dance teacher but as a classroom teacher. If your goal is to use Belly Dance as a fitness tool, either for yourself or in a gym, then you get strategies on how to adapt the routines to a fun, fast-paced cardio workout and how to target specific muscle groups for a better workout.
All of the instruction includes the A to Z routines along with transitions, warm-ups, strategies, and ideas that I've personally collected and developed over the years to help you access the power and beauty of Belly Dance. |
